How to Cancel Spotify

Canceling your subscription to Spotify can be challenging, especially if you don't know where to find the option to stop the service. Spotify does not provide a support phone number, and the company may not respond promptly to emails. In order to cancel your Spotify account, you must log in to the Spotify desktop application from a computer. The mobile app does not offer the option to cancel. Cancel your free trial within the first 30 days to avoid the monthly subscription charge.

Click your Spotify username in the top navigation bar, and then click "Account." Your Account Settings page displays.

Click the "Subscription" tab in the top navigation menu to open your Subscription Management page.

Click the "View Your Options" link in the Cancel Your Subscription section. The Cancellation Options screen displays.

Step 5

Click the "Click Here to Continue to the Cancellation Page" link at the bottom of the screen. The Cancellation page opens.

Step 6

Type the reason for cancellation in the text box, and then click the "Cancel Subscription" button. The Password prompt displays.

Step 7

Type your Spotify password in the Password field to confirm the cancellation.

Step 8

Click "Cancel Spotify Premium Subscription." The cancellation date is displayed on the screen. Your subscription will expire on the day your next payment is due.

Warnings

When a user signs up for the 30-day trial subscription, she must provide payment information to Spotify. If the subscription is not canceled before the end of the 30-day trial, the monthly charge is applied to her selected payment account.
