Relive the good ol' days with a Super Nintendo emulator for Windows Phone 8

Ah, Super Nintendo. 1991 was a proficient time because video games were actually only starting to become large and the SNES arrangement was leading the pack for sixteen-bit gaming. The panel is still revered by many to this mean solar day.

Now combine it with the power of Windows Phone 8's dual core CPUs, extra RAM and high resolution display and y'all have an ideal gaming platform—assuming the programmer gets it right. Luckily for the states, developer chiliad.k. nails with his free Snes8x app for Windows Phone.

The app comes with one costless demo ROM but the real fun is loading upwards your collection via SkyDrive. In that location'southward no URL direct import and it doesn't uncompress ZIP files, and so yous will need to upload them in full to a SkyDrive binder but that's a trivial thing.

So far, Snes8x has played every ROM we've thrown at it with no errors. Quite remarkable, really. Audio is tight, frame-charge per unit is high and the power for Salve-states to restore subsequently is fantastic. Did we mention it's completely gratis with no ads?

At that place's nothing to non like almost this emulator. It's a trivial plain merely once once again, that'south nitpicking. Information technology plays SNES ROMs just perfectly and is simply pure awesome on Windows Phone 8.

Choice up Snes8x here in the Store. Windows Phone viii only.
