Are Briley Black Cloud Chokes Worth The Money

merely got my early ten-mases present today, a Black Cloud choke made by
Carlson's
from Cabela's is just $44.99 its made to shoot Black Cloud ammo
Pattermaster sell's for twice the price.
is there that much different's in the two?
shoot last yr with a ex-tended range asphyxiate with black deject worked

I dont empathize the patternmaster black deject choke. In order to make information technology useable for black cloud ammo they had to remove the picayune nubs that slow the wad downwards. This was the chief point of a patternmaster choke. If the nubs are gone then it is just a basic choke tube. No since in paying high dollar for a patternmaster choke tube if it doesnt fifty-fifty incorporate the technology that makes it a patternmaster. :scratch

I have a regular long range patternmaster choke but I dont shoot black cloud ammo. If I decide to shoot black deject ammo and then I volition but put in a mill choke tube.

Someone correct me if in that location is an aftermarket choke tube designed for black cloud ammo that is any better then the factory choke tube.

I got a bargain on some BC so I thought I would effort it.I use a improved cylynder with steel with good results so thats what I tried this year with the BC.Then far it has been pretty impressive on both decoying and the higher passing shots but my gun likewise.I would design it and see what gives you the best design.But from what I have seen in my sbe I would endeavour the factory chokes.

I've patterned my 28" SBE II with Black Deject #2's and the best performance I can get comes when I use the factory cylinder choke tube.

At 30 yards, it consistently puts 95% of the shot inside a 27" circle.
If I go to something tighter, information technology starts throwing wingers and I go holes in the blueprint.

I don't know why just this is specific to Black Deject. If I shoot other loads, the patterns are non every bit good as the BC with the aforementioned setup.
I pretty much shoot cipher merely BC in that gun.

My Oldest son has a 26" SBE Ii and my youngest son has a Nova pump and they have to use the Modified tube to go the aforementioned results I get with a Cylinder.

More than anything else, this has proved to me that you really do have to pattern your gun to know what you lot're getting for results.

Not expensive ($l to $55) and I would effort ane. Agreed, the only way y'all really know how a asphyxiate volition perform is blueprint the gun with the ammo you will be shooting.

I have a benelli that I had cut downward to 23" since I hunt in layout blinds alot and dont like to swing a long barrell. I put the carlsons mod steel asphyxiate in information technology and I guarntee you lot dont desire a tighter pattern than that sucker throws out for decoying birds

I gotta let the birds get out a footling ways before I pull the trigger. I wouldnt waste my money on a black cloud choke, I really dont see the benefit from it. the shell already patterns great with manufacturing plant and cheap afterwards market carlson choke tubes, why waste product fifty bucks on somthing you dont need.

I noticed a huge difference. The blackness cloud choke improved my blueprint. If you shoot black cloud information technology is worth it to become the choke.

Blackcloud ammo should not exist used with any ported choke. The flight control wad won't fly properly.

With Blackcloud, I get great long range patterns with a factory modified tube. I only use Blackcloud for geese at 40+ yards. Works great for that.

An I.C. Comp n Choke is the flop with regular ammo out to twoscore yards. My Patternmaster tube stays in the example ninety% of the time since going to the Comp northward Choke.

From what I have read, the Carlson BC choke is coated or otherwise treated and so the special BC wad doesn't leave behind as much fouling.

I'm hooked on BC for the rice where 35-40 yards is a good shot where I hunt. I get great patterns and I take not found a better cripple swatting load.

While I might tend to agree with Baton, PM has such a loyal following, I doubt they are attempting to defraud the public. I looked at the PM BC choke the other 24-hour interval, merely I accept not read up on what makes it the BC version.
